MSI has unveiled a new PBO (Precision Boost Overdrive) Enhancement Mode aimed at users seeking to extract more performance from their AMD Ryzen 9000 series processors. This new mode comes with MSI’s AGESA 1.2.0.1a update and can enhance performance by up to 15%. Here are the details:
MSI’s PBO Enhancement Mode for AMD Ryzen 9000 Series Processors
MSI has optimized AMD’s existing Precision Boost Overdrive (PBO) technology to push processors to their maximum potential. For example, the Ryzen 9 9950X processor, with default PBO settings, shows a 5% performance increase in Cinebench R23 tests. With the new PBO Enhancement Mode, this increase can reach up to 10%.
The more budget-friendly Ryzen 7 9700X also benefits significantly from this mode, providing an impressive 15% performance boost. MSI not only focuses on performance enhancement but also offers a feature called Temperature Point Adjustment. This allows users to limit processor temperatures to 85°C, 75°C, or 65°C for better thermal management.
Another innovation MSI introduces is the Efficient Mode, which optimizes memory settings to boost gaming performance. Users can choose from four different presets in this mode to reduce memory latency and achieve a smoother gaming experience.
This feature is a great opportunity for users looking to maximize their Ryzen 9000 series processors’ performance. What do you think about MSI’s new updates?
