WhatsApp has implemented a new feature where users can add music to their status updates. The feature of adding music to stories, which has long been used on Facebook and Instagram, will now be available to WhatsApp users. The new feature allows short music tracks to be included in photos and videos added to the status. This innovation was highly appreciated by users.
Music can now be added to WhatsApp status update
Adding music to the status can be done in a very simple way. When users upload a photo or video to the status section in the WhatsApp application, they open the music browser offered by WhatsApp by tapping the music note icon that appears at the top of the screen.

From here, they can choose from popular songs or search for a specific song. Thus, users are given the opportunity to select a part of the song they want and add it to their status updates. There is a 15-second limit for photo content and a 60-second limit for video content.
The ability to add music comes with end-to-end encryption of status updates. Thanks to this encryption, WhatsApp will not be able to see what content or music users have added. The application will offer a library of millions of songs, allowing users to make choices to suit different tastes. Music options include popular songs such as ‘Shape of You’, ‘Perfect’, ‘Galway Girl’ and ‘Gangnam Style’.
The new feature is gradually being rolled out to users around the world. This move is seen as WhatsApp’s effort to make status updates more interactive. So what do you think about this issue? You can share your opinions with us in the comments section below.
