Samsung’s Now Brief app has been updated with Nano Banana, Google’s popular AI visualization tool. Galaxy users can now create fun visuals in their daily briefings using this new feature. This option, called “Nano Banana Visualization,” is located in the Now Brief settings menu. Users must manually enable this setting. Once enabled, AI visualization suggestions will appear in personalized briefings at the end of the day.
Galaxy phones get an AI boost: Now Brief now uses Nano Banana
Samsung first announced the Now Brief feature in January with the Galaxy S25 series. The app is now available on many Samsung devices, including the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7, Z Flip 7 FE, S25 Edge, Galaxy S24, and Galaxy Tab 11 series. One of the biggest issues users experienced with Now Brief was the inability to access information from third-party apps other than YouTube. Nano Banana stands out as one of the few integrations added to Now Brief outside of Samsung’s own apps.

The new integration works quite simply. When the Nano Banana setting is enabled, the feature automatically selects a photo from the user’s Gallery app and includes it in the daily “Memories” summary. It then suggests various prompts that can be used to edit or enhance the photo. According to SamMobile, tapping one of the suggested prompts redirects the photo to the Gemini app for processing.
Nano Banana processes the image within the Gemini app to produce the desired result. Users can save, copy, or directly share this final AI-generated image. This collaboration allows users to make quick and creative changes to their existing photos and makes it easier to reshape personal memories with AI.
Users may need to update the Personal Data Intelligence app on their phones to see this new feature in the Now Brief settings. It’s noted that in some cases, even if the app is up-to-date, it may take a while for suggestions to appear in the briefing after enabling the feature. Therefore, it’s normal to not see suggestions immediately after enabling the setting.
This new collaboration between Samsung and Google demonstrates the deeper integration of AI features into daily life. So, are you actively using the Now Brief feature on your Samsung devices? Share your thoughts on this new AI integration with us.
