NBA 2K25 is a basketball game developed by Visual Concepts and published by 2K Sports, based on the National Basketball Association (NBA). It is the 26th installment in the NBA 2K franchise and the successor to NBA 2K24. A new update was kicked out today, which brings several changes to the game. NBA 2K24 December 2 Update Patch Notes
We have released an update with the following changes:
- Increased the effectiveness of skill dunks on Superstar and Hall of Fame difficulties and in online multiplayer modes.
- Increased the effectiveness of hook shots and timed layups across all difficulties.

General Updates
- NBA 2K24 Season 3 preparations: Launching on Friday, December 1st, at 8AM PT / 11AM ET / 4PM BST.
- Resolved visual issues in custom arenas.
- Utah Jazz uniforms: Logo on shorts adjusted for accuracy.
- Sponsor patches updated for:

- General likeness updates for players including:
- LaMelo Ball (tattoo/hair update)

Gameplay Fixes
- Fixed an issue causing inadvertent basket interference violations during dunks.
- Reduced the frequency of lost ball fumbles.
- Adjusted “Bad Block Attempt” teammate grade logic.
- Fixed rare issue where layups “block themselves.”
- Defensive movement speed gap tweaked for lateral quickness.
- Fixed exploit causing double-dribbles with certain emotes.
City/Pro-Am/REC/Theater
- Improved performance, stability, and visuals in the City.
- Lowered quest requirements for affiliation joining.
- Players retain badge progression in REC when opposing players quit.
- Resolved issues with camera settings and disconnects in Starting 5 games.
MyCAREER/Quests/Progression
- Fixes and adjustments for quest progression and completion.
- Visual and flow updates for record-breaking performances.
- Fixed issue with record for 3PM being re-celebrated in high totals.
- Team Takeover – Player Lock now persists properly between games.
- Fixed issues with Playoffs games and Endorsement rewards.
MyTEAM Updates
- Fixed issues in Triple Threat modes, including crowd members walking on court.
- Coach Boosts now apply correctly to substituted players.
- Fixed rare issue with Agenda Tracker not showing accurate progress.
- Correct shoe now applied to Player Cards when duplicates are owned.
- Fixed rare hang in Triple Threat Challenge gameplay.
MyNBA/The W
- Stability improvements for MyNBA, MyNBA Online, and The W.
- Fixed issues with contract extensions and player likeness updates.
- Fixed rare hang in MyNBA with expansion teams.
- Admin Activity Log added to MyNBA Online.
- Bet on Woman trophy in The W now unlocks correctly.
Current Gen Updates
- Gameplay: Improved shot coverage detection for OPEN vs. WIDE OPEN situations.
- Fixed unexpected high defensive coverage with dunks and layups.
- MyCAREER: Fixed OVR display issue, headphone/clothing glitches, and player rotation in clothing shops.
- MyTEAM: Substituted players now receive Coach Boosts; fixed rare issues with Agenda Tracker and Clutch Time.
