Apple is preparing to make an important innovation in smart home technology. The new devices that the tech giant plans to introduce in 2024 may come with iPad-like large screens and a brand new operating system, homeOS. Here are the details…
Apple Intelligence-powered smart home devices coming with homeOS in 2025
First of all, one of the most striking products of the new series will be a device with a large screen, codenamed J595. The device will work in integration with different devices in the home, and will also increase the functionality of the home thanks to its mechanical parts. This device, which Apple will use in smart home technologies, will bring all the functionality of the iPad to homes, and even more. In other words, it will be possible to manage everything from lights to air conditioning in the comfort of an iPad.
Another product is a more affordable device codenamed J490. This model focuses more on everyday functions such as FaceTime calls, controlling home appliances and viewing information. For example, you’ll be able to view your agenda on this device while having your morning coffee. Meanwhile, the new smart home devices will be powered by Apple Intelligence.
Apple’s new home devices will run on the A18 chip, making the most efficient use of artificial intelligence. For those who already use Apple’s other smart home devices, such as HomePod and Apple TV, these new products will serve as a complement.
