Leaks continue to mount regarding One UI 8.5, Samsung’s next major Android update for Galaxy devices. New information reveals both new additions to Galaxy AI features and a design approach inspired by “Liquid Glass.” Here are the details.
News are also on the way for Galaxy AI
Galaxy AI, Samsung’s most prominent hardware feature recently, is getting even more advanced with One UI 8.5. According to a screenshot shared on X (formerly Twitter), four new feature categories are being added to Galaxy AI:
- Meeting assistant: It will offer real-time translation for meeting conversations and presentation screens.
- Touch assistant: It will increase your reading efficiency by processing text displayed on the screen.
- Smart clipboard: It will intelligently suggest useful functions like Correction, Summarize, Translate, Favorite, Search, and Open based on content you copy.
- Social content creator: It will create posts based on images you upload to social media apps. In shopping apps, it will write reviews based on your purchases.

Furthermore, according to Android Authority, One UI 8.5 will support AI agents like Gemini, Gauss Cloud, and Perplexity through a new launcher shortcut. This shortcut is said to replace the Google Search bar and focus on providing concise answers to questions in three sentences or less.
According to leaks from SammyGuru, One UI 8.5 will also make changes to some app interfaces. The My Files app appears to have been redesigned with circular categories and a Liquid Glass aesthetic. While the design isn’t exactly the same as Apple’s new aesthetic in iOS 26, it shares similarities in terms of shape and layout. This design approach is also evident in leaked images of the Samsung Phone app.
