New photos have been shared of the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold, a smartphone model notable for its tri-folding design. The device, showcased at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit, holds no surprises with its design.
Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold and its highlights
The new photos clearly reveal the phone’s design. According to reports, the device is between 12 and 15 mm thick when folded. The device’s thickness when unfolded is just 4.2 mm.
For comparison, the competing Huawei Mate X3 is 12.8 mm thick when folded. The Mate X3’s thickness when unfolded is between 3.6 and 4.8 mm. Therefore, Samsung’s new model offers a very competitive thinness.
Rumors suggest that the Galaxy Z TriFold will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Elite processor. When fully extended, it will offer users a massive screen area of approximately 10 inches.
It’s also rumored that the model will feature a 200-megapixel main camera. It’s claimed that a separate telephoto camera will offer up to 100x digital zoom. The device features a total of three different cameras on the back.

The phone’s selfie cameras are positioned in a punch-hole display. The device has somewhat thick bezels by today’s standards. However, it will feature a 120Hz AMOLED display for standard use.
Renowned leaker Evan Blass has also made a claim about the model’s price. The device will reportedly retail for $2,800. Blass states that the model will initially be available in China, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, and the United Arab Emirates.
