Xiaomi wants to create a new ecosystem among its devices with the release of its HyperOS operating system. HyperOS will be released with the Xiaomi 14 series to be announced on October 27. But ahead of the launch, images of the operating system have leaked.
Xiaomi HyperOS design
Xiaomi manages to grow every year by earning from the version, even though its profit margin per device is low as it mostly sells entry and mid-segment phones. Many people were distant from the MIUI interface developed by the company on the Android operating system. However, this will change with HyperOS.
Xiaomi has given some users in China access to the early beta version of HyperOS. Screenshots show how HyperOS’ revamped design will look like compared to the company’s MIUI interface.
HyperOS will offer new watch styles, fonts, wallpapers, widgets and more customization on the lock screen. The control center will have a cleaner and more modern design compared to MIUI 14. App icons are similar, but overall consistency seems to have improved.
It’s important to note that the final version of HyperOS may be different from the beta, but we think the overall design will be preserved. On the other hand, it is unclear how much performance advantage HyperOS will provide compared to MIUI.
Another decisive factor may be update support. We know that Apple has been giving an average of 6-7 major iOS updates to iPhone models for many years. On the Xiaomi side, Xiaomi promises up to 4 years at most. We will see what will change with HyperOS at the launch.
