Adobe has launched its new Photoshop app as a beta for Android devices. This step marks the first broad access to the Photoshop mobile app on Android, which was introduced to iOS users at the beginning of the year. The app will be available for free with all its features during the beta period.

The new Photoshop mobile brings the professional tools of the desktop version to touch screens, offering comprehensive editing capabilities on mobile devices. Users can combine and edit images using basic tools such as selections, layers, and masks. Unwanted elements can also be removed from images in seconds with tools such as Touch Select and Spot Healing Brush.

One of the most striking aspects of the app was the integration of Adobe’s Firefly generative AI support to the mobile platform. Thanks to this feature, users can add new elements to images, change existing ones, or completely reshape scenes with the Generative Fill tool. Access to free Adobe Stock assets also expands the scope of creative work.
More precise selections can be made with the Object Selection and Magic Wand tools, while advanced editing tools like the Remove and Clone Stamp allow for detailed image enhancements. Advanced blending modes and adjustment layers also allow users to make finer adjustments to images.
Adobe has not announced how long the beta period will last or what the pricing model will be after this period. The beta version of Photoshop is currently available on devices with Android 11 and above.
