The Transformers universe is getting back into action after a long hiatus. Paramount Pictures is currently working on three separate Transformers projects. One of these projects belongs to director Michael Bay, who has signed the series’ most acclaimed period. Bay, who announced that he was leaving the series in 2017, is preparing to get behind the camera again for a new Transformers movie.
New Transformers movies are coming
It is stated that Michael Bay returned to Paramount last year with this project and the studio also responded positively to the offer. The film, which is currently in the script phase, is written by Jordan VanDina.

VanDina had previously attracted attention with the film “Cocaine Bear”. It is stated that this new film, the details of which have not yet been shared, will maintain Bay’s classic action style but is also expected to bring a new direction to the series.
On the other hand, Paramount is not limited to this project alone. The studio is also continuing to work on a crossover film that will combine the Transformers and G.I. Joe series, which was announced last year. It is not yet clear when this project will come to life or who will sit in the director’s chair.
In addition to these two projects, it has been confirmed that Josh Cooley, the director of the animated film Transformers One, is also developing a new live-action Transformers film. Cooley aims to contribute to the film version of the series by taking a different path from animation this time. The project is currently in development.
Paramount is not expected to bring three separate Transformers projects to life at the same time. It has been stated that the studio will develop each project in parallel and move on to the production phase after deciding which has the most potential.
