Samsung has released a new software update for the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23 Ultra models. This update, which is only available in selected regions such as Europe and India for now, brings the January 2025 security patch to devices. Here are the details about the released update and what you need to know…
What does the January security patch for the Galaxy S23 offer?
This newly released update includes only security patches and does not offer any other innovations. This is not surprising considering that ASamsung will release the Android 15-based One UI 7.0 update in February. The new update will bring a comprehensive user interface innovation and many new features for the Samsung Galaxy S23 series and other compatible models.
The update fixes many critical and high-risk vulnerabilities in the Android operating system. In addition, 22 vulnerabilities affecting only Samsung Galaxy devices are fixed with this patch. Some vulnerabilities specific to Android 12, 13 and 14 versions on devices with MediaTek chipset are also closed with this update…
You will receive a notification when this update reaches your device. If you do not want to wait for the notification of the update with the build number ‘S91*BXXS7CXL2’, you can manually check and install the update from the ‘Settings > Software Update’ menu.
