IFA 2025 brought plenty of autonomous lawnmowers, but only one showed up with a robotic arm. The NexLawn Master X Series Concept, developed by MOVA under Dreame, is pitched as the first mower to feature a fully functional mechanical arm.
What makes the Master X Series Concept unique

The highlight is its extendable arm. Folded, it measures 44.5 cm (17.5 inches). Fully extended, it reaches about 77 cm, and it can stretch as far as one meter to perform tasks. NexLawn says the arm supports interchangeable attachments, including:
- A multi-gripper for clearing sticks and debris
- A trimmer head for extra precision
- An edging disc head for finishing touches
- Additional tools in development
These attachments make the mower capable of trimming, weeding, and even picking fruit far beyond what typical robotic mowers can do.
A robot that interacts with pets
In NexLawn’s animated demo, the Master X Series Concept even tossed a ball for a dog. While it’s hard to imagine many pets embracing a robotic playmate, the demo highlights how far the company is pushing the boundaries of outdoor automation.
Concept today, product tomorrow?
The inclusion of “Concept” in the name means this mower isn’t heading to stores yet. NexLawn hasn’t shared a release date or price, leaving the possibility of consumer availability open-ended. Still, as with other concept tech, elements of the Master X Series Concept may influence future robotic lawnmowers.
For now, it’s a flashy glimpse at how yard care and maybe even pet care could look in the years ahead.
