The third film in the Now You See Me series, titled “Now You See Me: Now You Don’t,” will hit theaters on November 14. Fans of the series received another piece of good news: the fourth film has been officially announced.
Now You See Me 4 officially announced
Lionsgate executive Adam Fogelson recently announced the news about Now You See Me 4 at CinemaCon. Fogelson stated:
“We were so pleased with the director’s work that we’ve already started developing the next installment. We can’t wait for audiences to discover what the director has done in the third film, and we’re excited to create more magic with him.”
Ruben Fleischer, the director of the third film, will also take the director’s chair for the fourth film. The renowned director is known for popular productions such as Venom, Uncharted, and Zombieland. Fleischer made the following statement about the project:
“Directing Now You See Me: Now You Don’t was as much fun as the other films in my career. It combines heist films and magic, and working with this incredible cast was truly magical. Of course I want to continue.”
In the third film, Jesse Eisenberg, Mark Ruffalo, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco, Isla Fisher, and Morgan Freeman return to their roles from the previous films in the series. Additionally, new names such as Ariana Greenblatt and Rosamund Pike have joined the cast.
The first two films in the series achieved great commercial success. The first film, released in 2013, grossed $350 million worldwide, while the second film, which premiered in 2016, earned $334 million at the box office.
