Nubia appears poised to spend October launching flagship phones. The company will launch the Red Magic 11 Pro and 11 Pro+ gaming phones powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset on October 17th, and will unveil its new camera-focused flagship, the Z80 Ultra, at the end of the month. Ahead of the launch, some key details about the Z80 Ultra have surfaced in Geekbench and 3C certification filings. Here are the details.
The Nubia Z80 Ultra is coming with the new Snapdragon
The device with model number NX741J, confirmed to be the Nubia Z80 Ultra, has been spotted in both Geekbench performance testing and 3C charging certification. The Geekbench listing officially confirms that the device will feature the latest and most powerful processor, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, as expected. This powerful chipset will be accompanied by 16GB of RAM and Android 16 as the operating system.

The Z80 Ultra demonstrated its impressive performance potential in Geekbench, achieving impressive single-core scores of 3,669 and multi-core scores of 11,309. According to 3C certification records, the device is expected to come with a 94.5W fast charging adapter in the box. Initial reports suggest the phone will support 90W wired charging.
The Z80 Ultra will stand out not only for its powerful hardware but also for its design and camera features. It will be one of the few devices on the market. Its under-display selfie camera technology will offer users a true full-screen experience, without any notches or holes. This feature will make it the only full-screen flagship, aside from the new Red Magic 11 Pro series, to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.
The device’s rear camera setup is expected to excite camera enthusiasts:
- 50MP main camera (with 35mm lens)
- 1/1.55-inch ultra-wide-angle lens
- Periscope telephoto camera
According to leaks, the Z80 Ultra will be powered by a massive 7,100mAh battery. This large battery, combined with high-performance components, promises long-lasting use. Other specifications of the Nubia Z80 Ultra remain a mystery for now. Full details are expected to be revealed at the official launch at the end of October.
