At Gamescom 2024, NVIDIA announced some exciting developments for the gaming world. First, NVIDIA’s RTX technology is rapidly expanding. Last December, there were more than 500 RTX-powered games and apps, and now there are more than 600.

At Gamescom, it was announced that 20 more games will utilize DLSS and RTX technologies. This will allow gamers to improve their gaming experience with more realistic graphics, higher performance and lower latency.
One game that showcases the power of RTX technology is Black Myth: Developed with full ray tracing and NVIDIA DLSS 3, the game delivers stunning visuals, especially on GeForce RTX 40 Series GPUs and GeForce NOW Ultimate members.

Another important game is Star Wars Outlaws. For this game, NVIDIA announced the Star Wars Outlaws GeForce RTX 40 Series Bundle, valid until September 19th. This bundle will allow players to experience the game in the highest quality, taking full advantage of RTX technologies like ray tracing, DLSS 3.5, and NVIDIA Reflex. Gamers without a GeForce RTX 40 series GPU will be able to enjoy the same experience through GeForce NOW.
Of course, RTX technologies are used not only in new games but also in classic games. For example, Half-Life 2 RTX: An RTX Remix Project reimagines Valve’s legendary game with RTX Remix. This community-developed project adds technologies such as full ray tracing, DLSS 3.5, Reflex, and RTX IO to the game for a modern visual experience.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Dragon Age: The Veilguard and Dune: Awakening will also launch with support for RTX features like DLSS 3 and Reflex. The PC version of FINAL FANTASY XVI will also feature DLSS 3, DLAA, and Reflex to give players a smoother and more visually stunning experience. A demo of the game will be available for download ahead of its full release on September 17th.
NVIDIA is also continuing to develop its AI-powered ACE technology to add more realism and interactivity to in-game characters. The first example of this technology can be seen in Mecha BREAK, a multiplayer mech game on display at Gamescom.
In the game, digital humans powered by NVIDIA NeMotron-4 provide a more dynamic and realistic gameplay experience. Perfect World Games also used NVIDIA ACE and digital human technologies in its Legends demo to create a character that interacts with players and can identify real-world objects.
NVIDIA is also partnering with MediaTek to make gaming technologies more accessible. Through this collaboration, G-SYNC technology will be available on more monitors at more affordable prices. And new G-SYNC Pulsar technology will deliver more effective motion clarity for smoother, tear-free gaming.
