Nvidia is adding a new one to its graphics cards developed specifically for the Chinese market following the US embargo decisions on technology exports. According to the latest information, this new model, called the GeForce RTX 5090DD, will be a trimmed version of the 5090D in terms of technical features.
Nvidia is here with the RTX 5090DD, exclusive to China
The RTX 5090DD has a GPU coded GB202-240 and comes with 24GB of GDDR7 memory. The memory bus is specified as 384-bit, and the transfer speed is at 28Gbps. The total graphics power (TGP) of the card is recorded as 575W.

In terms of design, the RTX 5090DD is based on the PG145 card structure, which was previously used in the RTX 5090D and RTX 4090D models. However, this time, we are faced with the SKU 40 version. This detail means that the card will only be produced by certain manufacturing partners.
The preferences regarding the name of the card are also noteworthy. Although the RTX 5090DD name is given to a product that is far from previous models in terms of performance; this naming is preferred as part of the marketing strategy.
While the first RTX 5090D model in particular offers almost full RTX 5090 performance, the new card with the DD suffix stands out with its more modest hardware features. This may cause confusion regarding the product naming.
The RTX 5090DD with 24GB of memory comes in a significantly lower capacity than the 32GB 5090D model. This difference can have a direct impact not only in terms of gaming performance but also in areas such as artificial intelligence calculations.
Especially considering the increasing artificial intelligence applications in China; such a restriction gives clues about how the product will be positioned not only for the consumer market but also for industrial use.
