Cyberpunk 2077 is celebrating its fifth anniversary, considering its tumultuous journey and incredible progress since its release. The game remains one of the most visually stunning titles on PC, largely thanks to NVIDIA’s ray tracing efforts. To mark this milestone, NVIDIA is reviving a piece of hardware that fans thought would never see the light of day again: the original GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Cyberpunk 2077 Edition, complete with the signature of Jensen Huang.
Two Rare Collectible Pieces
These cards were extremely rare even upon their initial release. NVIDIA only produced 200 of them in 2020, and none ever reached retail shelves. Seventy-seven were given away during the original Cyberpunk promotion, while the rest were lost in storage.
Now, NVIDIA is distributing two more of these cards, and according to reports, at least one bears the signature of CEO Jensen Huang. This signature detail transforms the card into a collector’s treasure, rather than something to simply plug in and play games with.
The card itself is unique: a custom AL5052 aluminum exterior with a distinctive yellow-black Cyberpunk theme, turquoise accents, and a matching backplate.
But beneath all the glitz and glamour, the card is still a standard RTX 2080 Ti Founders Edition. While it launched with the game’s original ray tracing effects and DLSS 2.0 support, modern features like RT Overdrive, DLSS 3.5 Ray Reconstruction, and DLSS 4 are unavailable for the Turing architecture. Of course, considering the winner won’t be playing games with this card, this ceases to be a technical detail. This is the kind of hardware that will be put in a glass case and displayed.
Entering the giveaway is quite simple. Go to NVIDIA’s X post embedded above and just comment “GeForce Season”. Two winners will be selected, and they will take home one of the rarest GeForce historical pieces ever made: a signed memorabilia from the Turing era and a small slice of Cyberpunk memorabilia.
