Nvidia is reviving its “Verified Priority Access” program to provide direct sales of its high-demand GeForce RTX 5080 and 5090 graphics cards to select users in the United States. The program aims to counter scalpers and limited supply issues by allowing real PC gamers and creators to purchase GPUs directly from Nvidia.
Nvidia brings back verified priority access

The company announced the return of its program to help distribute RTX 5000 series GPUs more fairly. This initiative allows registered GeForce Experience and Nvidia app users to access limited stock directly from the Marketplace without needing to go through third-party retailers.
Who is eligible for the program?
Verified Priority Access is designed for a select number of verified gamers and creators in the U.S. Nvidia verifies eligibility based on several factors, including region, PC configuration, gaming history, and app usage. This ensures that GPUs reach actual users rather than resellers or automated bots.
How to apply for a chance to buy
Users with an Nvidia account created before January 30th, 2025, at 6 AM Pacific Time can submit their interest through an official form. To apply, users must log in with their account and choose whether they want an RTX 5080 or RTX 5090 Founders Edition GPU.
Selection process and availability
Submitting the form does not guarantee selection or product availability. If chosen, Nvidia will notify users via email. The purchasing opportunity is limited to one GPU per invite, and it operates on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.
How Nvidia aims to prevent scalping
By directly verifying users and limiting purchases, Nvidia seeks to prevent scalpers from stockpiling GPUs. This move is intended to make the process fairer for legitimate PC gamers and creators who need high-end hardware for gaming, streaming, and content creation.
Why Nvidia is selling directly to users
The return of Verified Priority Access comes amid continued demand for high-performance GPUs. Limited availability and high resale prices have made it difficult for many users to obtain the latest graphics cards. By selling directly, Nvidia hopes to reduce reliance on third-party retailers, ensure fair distribution, and provide real gamers with a better chance of getting the hardware they need.
