There’s been a new development regarding NVIDIA’s long-rumored RTX 50 SUPER series graphics cards. Previously based solely on rumors, the information has now gained traction thanks to a leak from a reliable source. Seasonic’s official power supply calculator lists the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 SUPER and RTX 5070 Ti SUPER models. This is a strong indication that the SUPER series truly exists.
RTX 50 SUPER series spotted on an official source for the first time
Users can calculate the power supply capacity they’ll need by selecting their processor and graphics card on Seasonic’s power supply calculator. The appearance of the RTX 5070 SUPER and RTX 5070 Ti SUPER cards under the NVIDIA tab in this calculator all but confirms the existence of the new models.

It was previously stated that NVIDIA was not planning a “SUPER” series this year. Sources had even stated that such a launch was unlikely even at CES 2025. However, the Seasonic leak has revived this possibility. It is now considered a stronger possibility that NVIDIA will launch the RTX 50 SUPER series during or shortly after CES.
Rumors about the RTX 50 SUPER series have been circulating for months. The most striking feature is its higher VRAM capacity. The new cards will reportedly use 3GB GDDR7 memory modules, increasing VRAM capacity by 50%.
- GeForce RTX 5070 SUPER: 18GB GDDR7 VRAM
- GeForce RTX 5070 Ti SUPER: 24GB GDDR7 VRAM
This upgrade suggests that these cards will be future-proof, especially compared to the RTX 5070, which was limited to 12GB of VRAM.
On the other hand, there is also a significant increase in power consumption.
- RTX 5070 SUPER: 275W TDP (standard RTX 5070: 250W)
- RTX 5070 Ti SUPER: 350W TDP (standard RTX 5070 Ti: 300W)
These figures appear to be consistent with previous reports. While no significant changes are expected in the cards’ core count and architectural features, the main differences of the SUPER models are the increased memory capacity and power consumption.
The exact release date for the RTX 50 SUPER series remains unclear. NVIDIA’s official launch calendar hasn’t yet announced these cards. However, the listing on Seasonic’s official website clearly indicates that these graphics cards are more than just rumors.
Whether the cards will be unveiled at CES 2025 remains a matter of curiosity. It’s possible that NVIDIA will announce the cards on or after CES.
