The bar in the graphics card world is rising every year. The GeForce RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 , expected to be introduced in September, will come with the brand new Blackwell architecture . So, what will these new cards offer to gamers and technology enthusiasts? Details in our news…
NVIDIA RTX 5090 and 5080 to launch in September
First of all, these cards, which are thought to be officially introduced at CES 2025, have already created excitement. However, NVIDIA has not yet sent detailed information to its business partners. Despite this, according to leaks, the RTX 5090 will be a power monster with a 550W TGP value.
This makes it a model that will provide a significant performance increase compared to the current RTX 4090. The RTX 5080 , which has lower power consumption, will be released with a TGP value of 350W and is expected to be 10-15% faster than the RTX 4090 in terms of performance.
As for cooling modules , NVIDIA is working on 600W cooling modules for the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080. This requires serious engineering to cool the cards. However, it is stated that the previously discussed 400W cooling options have been canceled or at least suspended for now. In other words, these cards will set new standards not only in terms of power but also in terms of cooling technologies.
Another detail that first appeared in this report is the RTX 5080D model. Although there is not much information about this model yet, it shows that NVIDIA is preparing to launch different versions of its next-generation cards. In terms of performance, the RTX 5090 is expected to have a 10-15% superiority over the current RTX 4090, and it is thought that this difference will be especially evident in gaming and professional graphics processing processes.
