Samsung October 2024 update brings many fixes

Samsung, working on the Android 15-based One UI 7.0 operating system update and preparing to release the beta version, has released the new security update for Galaxy devices. According to official statements, the October 2024 security update repairs a total of 30 vulnerabilities for Android, 12 of which were released for Galaxy devices.

If we look at the update notes, it was announced that the published package also repairs vulnerabilities in phones and smartwatches powered by Exynos 9820, 9825, 980, 990, 850, and W920 processors. 2 of the 30 fixes are marked as critical for Android, while the rest are marked as high risk.

In addition, the October 2024 security update includes 12 fixes for Galaxy phones and tablets running on the previous software version. Thanks to this update, it is planned to prevent unauthorised access to devices.

Although it is not known for which devices it will come first, the new update is expected to be released primarily for flagships in the coming days. However, it is stated that the One UI 6.1.1 update can also be released for several devices.
