vivo has unveiled its new smartwatch, the Watch 5, alongside the X Fold 5. The watch is available in two models—Bluetooth and eSIM—with a starting price of $110. The vivo Watch 5 stands out with fitness tracking, cross-device connectivity, and interactive features.
What does the vivo Watch 5 offer?
The vivo Watch 5 features a lightweight aluminum alloy body weighing just 32 grams. It comes in various color options, including Midnight Black, Moonlight White, Peach Pink, Stardust Pink, and Silver Steel. The stainless steel version weighs 35 or 36 grams, depending on the strap used. The watch is equipped with a 1.43-inch AMOLED display offering a 466 × 466 resolution, 1500 nits peak brightness, and a 60Hz refresh rate. It also supports always-on display, dynamic watch faces, and Live Photo features.
The battery lasts up to 22 days in Bluetooth mode, 14 days in dual-device eSIM mode, and 7 days in standalone eSIM mode. It fully charges in about two hours via a magnetic charger. Running on vivo’s BlueOS, the watch is compatible with both Android and iOS devices.
It can connect simultaneously with vivo phones and iPhones. The eSIM version allows independent use, enabling calls, messaging, and WeChat without a paired phone.
Health features include continuous heart rate and SpO2 monitoring, detailed sleep analysis, stress detection, menstrual cycle tracking, and arrhythmia alerts. Users can perform a quick 30-second blood pressure risk screening.
Health data can be shared with family members through the vivo Health app. The watch also offers specialized modes for racket sports such as tennis, badminton, and table tennis, providing detailed metrics like movement coaching, grip guidance, and stroke speed. It supports running plans, personalized exercise coaching, and over 100 sports modes.
