Microsoft’s most popular racing game, Forza Horizon 5, is coming to PlayStation 5! Playground Games made the surprise announcement that the game, previously exclusive to Xbox and PC, will be released for PS5 this spring. This move is seen as part of Xbox’s strategy to bring its exclusive games to different platforms.
All content will be available on PS5!
The PS5 version of Forza Horizon 5 is being developed in collaboration with Panic Button and Playground Games, and will feature the exact same content as the Xbox and PC versions. All of the previous expansion packs, including Hot Wheels and Rally Adventure, will be available to PS5 users without any extra charges. Players will be able to enjoy the racing experience on Mexican roads with nearly 900 cars, over 40 thematic updates, and a massive open-world map.

This announcement is part of Xbox’s strategy to bring more of its games to other platforms. Earlier, it was revealed that titles like Sea of Thieves and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle would also be coming to PlayStation. Xbox CEO Phil Spencer mentioned that they would also support the Nintendo Switch 2.
While the official release date has not been confirmed, the game is expected to be released in the spring. Thanks to cross-play support, PS5 players will be able to race on the same servers as Xbox and PC players.
