Samsung has begun rolling out its latest user interface, One UI 8 (based on Android 16), to a wider audience for its flagship and mid-range devices. The update has been rolled out to international markets for both the Galaxy S24 series and Galaxy A56, following its release in South Korea. Here are the details.
Galaxy S24 and A56 Stable Release Rollout Accelerated
The One UI 8 update for the Galaxy S24 series has begun reaching users in the UK just a few days after its release in Korea. The update is expected to be available in many other markets before this weekend.

As of now, the update is primarily available to users who participated in the One UI 8 beta program, but this is not expected to take long. However, according to Samsung’s official release schedule, the rollout could reach some countries as early as October.
Samsung has also rolled out the One UI 8.0 stable version for its popular mid-range model, the Galaxy A56, internationally. Initially available only in South Korea, the update is now rolling out to users in Europe.
The One UI 8 update for the Galaxy A56 is 2,448.13 MB in size and carries software version number A566BXXU6BYI5. Such a rapid update rollout for a mid-range device demonstrates Samsung’s commitment to software support.
Galaxy A56 and Galaxy S24 owners can download the update via Settings » Software Update » Download and Install. As Samsung begins rolling out to markets outside of Korea, the update is expected to be available in more regions soon.
