New technical information has leaked about OnePlus’s new budget-friendly flagship, the OnePlus 15R. Expected to launch in the Chinese market as the OnePlus Ace 6, the phone will feature significant hardware improvements over its predecessors. These include a faster processor, a significantly larger battery, and increased water resistance.
What will the OnePlus 15R offer?
The OnePlus 15R will feature a flat OLED panel with a 1.5K resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. It will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, the same chip used in high-end Android phones like the OnePlus 13 and the latest flagship.

The new model will have a battery capacity of 7,000mAh. It will also support fast charging of 80W or higher. The rear camera setup, similar to its predecessor, will include a main camera, an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a telephoto camera.
Camera sensors will also receive upgrades. Another significant improvement will be the ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. This technology will provide faster and more accurate scanning compared to the optical sensor in its predecessor, the OnePlus 13R.
The phone’s design will retain the metal frame. Furthermore, the device will boast higher levels of water and dust protection with IP68 and IP69 certifications. Due to these recent hardware improvements, the OnePlus 15R will likely command a higher price than its predecessor.
