OnePlus is aiming to redefine what a compact phone can do. Fresh leaks about the upcoming OnePlus 15T suggest that it won’t just be a follow-up to the 13T it’s shaping up to be a major leap in specs, especially in battery life, display quality, and camera capability.
OnePlus 15T keeps compact size but cranks display to 165 Hz

According to leaker Digital Chat Station, the OnePlus 15T will keep the same 6.31-inch display as its predecessor. But that’s where the similarities end. The new screen features a 165 Hz refresh rate, completely flat glass, and symmetrical, narrow bezels on all four sides. That puts it in rare territory for compact Android phones with ultra-high refresh rates.
It follows the design language of the upcoming OnePlus 15, but shrinks the footprint for users who want flagship specs without the bulk.
OnePlus 15T camera setup aims to fix past mistakes
The OnePlus 13T took heat for underwhelming camera results, especially given its price tag. This time, OnePlus appears to be correcting course. The 15T is rumored to sport a 50 MP main sensor, paired with a 50 MP telephoto camera a notable improvement over the last model’s more basic setup.
That second 50 MP sensor could significantly boost zoom and portrait performance, and help the phone stand out among other compact premium devices.
OnePlus 15T features ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and massive battery
In a surprising move for a phone this size, OnePlus is ditching the optical fingerprint scanner and switching to a 3D ultrasonic sensor the kind typically seen in top-tier flagships. This means faster unlocks, better accuracy, and improved performance in wet conditions.
Even more eye-catching is the battery upgrade. The 13T came with a generous 6,260 mAh cell, but the 15T will reportedly pack a battery in the 7,000 mAh range. If true, it could become one of the longest-lasting compact flagships ever released.
OnePlus 15T to feature Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5
Performance won’t be left behind either. The OnePlus 15T is expected to run Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, the same chip slated for the larger OnePlus 15. That should deliver not only faster performance but also better thermal efficiency key for a smaller device with less room to dissipate heat.
OnePlus 15T could redefine the small flagship
While most brands are abandoning compact phones or cutting corners to fit high-end parts into smaller frames, OnePlus seems ready to prove it’s possible to go big even in a small package. If the leaks hold, the OnePlus 15T could be one of the most balanced compact Android phones in years.
Big battery. Big specs. Small frame. That’s a rare combo and OnePlus might just pull it off.
