While we are getting closer to the launch of OnePlus’ first foldable phone, the OnePlus Open, which is expected to launch later this month, more details about the device keep revealing. Earlier, we had seen the CAD-based renders of the upcoming foldable phone, and now the press renders and the pricing of the smartphone leaked. Here are the details about the OnePlus Open…
OnePlus Open will have a 6.31-inch outer OLED display
Although there are no official announcements about the expected device, the latest leaks reveal the design of OnePlus’ first foldable smartphone. According to the latest leaked press renders, the upcoming Open will be 37% smaller than the Find N2. While the OnePlus Open and the Oppo Find N3 have a similar design, they will probably have different specifications.
When we look at the leaked renders, we can see that the expected foldable phone will have a huge camera island on the back with three cameras, including a 48-megapixel main, a 48-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 64-megapixel telephoto camera. We know that the company uses Hasselblad lenses on the devices, and it will be the same for its first foldable phone.
As we said, the brand doesn’t reveal any official details about the device, but the leaks reveal a lot of information about the phone. The OnePlus Open is claimed to feature a 6.31-inch outer screen, and a 7.8-inch flexible inner display from BOE.
Additionally, the expected phone will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, paired with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of storage. OnePlus will likely launch its first foldable smartphone on October 19, 2023. It will cost $1,699, which is cheaper than the Galaxy Z Fold5.
