OnePlus is adding a new name to its lineup. The company has officially confirmed the OnePlus Turbo series, a performance-driven range of smartphones set to launch in early 2026. While details are still limited, OnePlus says the series will focus on gaming power and long battery life two priorities that align with the company’s recent hardware direction.
OnePlus Turbo series targets Redmi rivals

After weeks of speculation, OnePlus President Louis Lee confirmed the Turbo series through a Weibo post. He called the new lineup “performance-centric” and hinted that it would sit in the mid-range segment, putting it in direct competition with Xiaomi’s Redmi Turbo phones.
According to early reports, the Turbo models will offer flagship-grade features at a lower price. That includes aggressive battery specs and high refresh rate displays, following the formula seen with the Ace 6T and OnePlus 15.
Leaks hint at massive batteries and Snapdragon power
Tipster Smart Pikachu claims two Turbo smartphones are scheduled for release in January 2026. Both are expected to ship with batteries close to 9,000mAh well beyond the usual capacity in most mid-range phones.
For comparison, the OnePlus Ace 6T currently holds the brand’s battery record at 8,300mAh. That means the Turbo line could become OnePlus’ battery king.
As for processors, earlier leaks suggest one model may feature a custom-tuned Snapdragon 8s Gen 4. If true, the Turbo could deliver near-flagship gaming performance without the flagship price tag.
What we know so far about the OnePlus Turbo series
- Officially confirmed by OnePlus
- First models expected in January 2026
- Focus on battery life and gaming
- Targeting mid-range market segment
- Possible 9,000mAh battery capacity
- Rumored Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 variant
That’s a compelling list for users looking for power and endurance without breaking the bank.
Global release still uncertain
For now, OnePlus has only confirmed the Turbo series for the Chinese market. There’s no word on whether these phones will make it to global markets. However, OnePlus is prepping the international launch of the OnePlus 15R, which recently leaked with new camera details so there’s a chance the Turbo series could follow.
If OnePlus sees strong demand, a wider release may come next. But for now, performance-focused fans outside China will have to wait and see.
