Opel has achieved significant success with the Frontera, which it introduced in the spring. The family-friendly SUV, the Opel Frontera, which stands out for its affordability, now has a new electric version with a longer range. The Frontera Electric “Long Range”, available in the GS trim level for 1,751,000 lira, is only 100,000 lira more than the standard range. The Frontera Electric “Long Range” model comes with a new 54 kWh battery and offers a range of up to 408 kilometers in emissions-free driving.
Long journeys are now more appealing
All Frontera models offer a characteristic, robust design, a spacious interior, and a host of smart solutions. The hybrid version and 44 kWh battery, available since its launch, have now been joined by a new, fully electric version with a longer range. Battery capacity has been increased by 10 kWh, while energy consumption has been reduced. This allows the Frontera Electric “Long Range” model to travel up to 408 kilometers locally, emission-free, between charging stops.

This means Opel now offers a choice for those who prefer an all-electric vehicle: the smaller-battery model with a 305-kilometer range is ideal for those driving primarily in the city, while the Frontera Electric “Long Range” model with a larger battery is now available for those who want to travel longer distances. The long-range version can be charged from 20% to 80% in just half an hour at a 100 kW fast charging station.
Regardless of engine type, all Frontera models stand out for their spacious interior and superior flexibility. With a cargo capacity of up to 1,600 liters and a 60:40 split-fold rear seat, the Frontera offers ample driving flexibility. Thanks to the upright design of the side panels and rear windows, the Frontera offers ample space, especially for rear seat passengers.
In addition, the Frontera boasts a host of smart features that make journeys more enjoyable. These features range from flexible grab straps to smartphone pockets in the seatbacks and a wireless charger, and are available even on entry-level models. Furthermore, Opel is making seat innovations accessible to a broader audience once again with its patented Intelli-Seat, which features a central ergonomic recess for the driver and front passenger.
