Operator, which OpenAI launched last month and defined as an artificial intelligence agent, was first available to Pro users in the United States. According to the statement made by the company, it is now accessible in more countries. Here are the details…
OpenAI Operator goes mainstream
For those who don’t know, Operator works as an artificial intelligence agent that can perform various tasks on behalf of the user, unlike an ordinary chat bot. It can do everything from booking flights and hotels to browsing websites and filling in forms.

According to the latest announcement, Operator is now active in many countries where ChatGPT is available, including Australia, Brazil, Canada, India, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Japan, Japan, Singapore, South Korea and the United Kingdom. However, the process will take a little longer for the European Union, Switzerland, Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland. The company stated that work is ongoing to comply with the strict regulations in these regions.
The Operator not only fulfils the tasks, but also has the ability to hand over control to the user when necessary. This increases user security by preventing the AI from performing automated processing, especially in cases where payment transactions or sensitive data needs to be shared.
Operator, available with a ChatGPT Pro subscription, is currently available for $200 per month. The artificial intelligence agent works in a special window, independent of the standard ChatGPT interface. OpenAI plans to offer Operator to a wider user base in the near future.
