Artificial intelligence, the mainstream of the recent period, is one of the indispensable parts of our lives as of 2024. Of course, in some cases, errors that harm the user experience may occur in this artificial intelligence-supported software. For example, over the past few months, some users have been complaining that the GPT-4 language model was lazy and did not respond properly to requests. Announcing that it continues to work on the issue, OpenAI has gradually begun to solve such problems. Here is the update that solves the ChatGPT laziness issue!
OpenAI releases update for GPT-4 Turbo – update that fixes ChatGPT laziness issue
OpenAI announced that it has launched two new updates about GPT-4 Turbo and GPT-3.5 Turbo. We should point out here that the patch for GPT-4 Turbo now makes tasks such as code generation more comprehensive and fixes a bug in UTF-8 encoding.
The patch released for GPT-3.5 Turbo is related to pricing. OpenAI will reduce input prices by 50 percent and output prices by 25 percent starting next week.
As seen above, the update, which focuses on completing tasks in a more comprehensive way, thus solving the laziness problems to some extent, is currently only available for GPT-4 Turbo. In short, this update will largely eliminate user complaints such as “It does not produce even a quarter of the code it used to produce.” Although it is not clear at the moment, we can expect other ChatGPT models experiencing such problems to be updated in the future.
