Google’s Pixel 10 launch is locked for Aug. 20, and the flood of leaks makes it feel like we’ve already seen the phones naked. Based on what’s surfaced, this year’s lineup could quietly become the boldest in years.
Pixel 10 lineup keeps the look but changes the lens
Photos teased by Google confirm the Pixel 10 family — base, Pro, Pro XL, and Pro Fold — keeps the smooth camera bar, but the base model is finally getting a telephoto. According to well-known leaker Evan Blass, it’s a 10.8-megapixel sensor alongside a 48MP wide and 13MP ultrawide. That helps it match Samsung’s Galaxy S25 on zoom chops.
The Pro twins go bigger: a 50MP wide, 48MP ultrawide, and 48MP telephoto. Color leaks from Android Headlines show playful names — Obsidian, Indigo, Frost, and Lemonade for the Pixel, while the Pros get Obsidian, Porcelain, Moonstone, and Jade.
Pixel 10 pricing stays put
Despite tariff noise, whispers point to the same starting prices as last year:
- Pixel 10 (128GB) — $799
- Pixel 10 (256GB) — $899
- Pixel 10 Pro (128GB) — $999
- Pixel 10 Pro XL (256GB) — $1,199
…and up to $1,549 for the 1TB Pro XL.
Click with magnetic accessories
One of the wilder rumors is Qi2 magnetic charging baked straight into the the new phone. If true, that means MagSafe-style snaps for chargers, wallets, and mounts — no special case needed. A leaked image shows a Pixel 10 locked to a circular pad, suggesting it works just like Apple’s system.
Google might brand it PixelSnap, according to Android Authority, which could make swapping accessories between iPhone and Pixel as simple as pulling them off and slapping them on.
Google’s Tensor G5 — but not the speed crown
Under the glass, the Pixel 10 should debut Google’s Tensor G5 chip, built on a 3nm process by TSMC. Early benchmarks hint it won’t outpace Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite in Samsung’s Galaxy S25 or OnePlus 13, but it should edge past last year’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
That’s fine for Google’s ambitions. Tensor chips are tuned for Pixel’s AI smarts, and real-world performance rarely feels behind. As one CNET editor put it about last year’s G4, it “doesn’t feel like it’s lacking in power in any major way.”
Pro Fold plays it safe
Google has already teased the Pixel 10 Pro Fold’s design, and it’s sticking with the tall, narrow frame introduced on the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. Expect the same Tensor G5 and modest upgrades to cameras or battery life, but no radical redesign.
The foldable will ship with Android 16, which many Pixel 9 Pro Fold owners already have thanks to an early release.
The countdown to Aug. 20
Leaks have stripped away most of the mystery, but not all. Google still holds the finer specs, AI features, and any surprise tricks for its stage. If the rumors stick, the new lineup could be remembered as the year Google made magnets cool for Android.
Fast clicks cost trust — and August is coming in hot.
