Google’s next-generation smartwatch, the Pixel Watch 4, has been leaked with all its features just days before its official launch. Expected to debut alongside the Pixel 10 series at the Made by Google event on August 20th, the Pixel Watch 4’s design and specifications have been revealed. The device boasts significant improvements over its predecessor, the Pixel Watch 3, in the areas of display, battery, artificial intelligence, and health tracking.
Pixel Watch 4 Specifications Released
The Pixel Watch 4 will be available in two sizes: 41mm and 45mm. Both models feature Google’s Actua 360 display technology. The screen brightness is increased to 3000 nits, providing greater readability in direct sunlight. This represents a significant increase in screen brightness compared to the Pixel Watch 3.
Battery performance has also been improved. The 41mm model is said to offer up to 30 hours of battery life, and the 45mm model up to 40 hours. Thanks to the new fast charging accessory, the watch’s charging time is reduced by 25%.
The watch will feature Google’s artificial intelligence model, Gemini. Users will be able to interact with Gemini by simply raising their wrist. This will provide personalized help, instant text suggestions, and AI-powered interactions. Gemini transforms the Pixel Watch 4 into not only a fitness tracker but also a personal digital assistant for every aspect of daily life.
Extensive innovations are also included in health and sports tracking. The Pixel Watch 4 supports over 40 exercise modes and can assess the user’s readiness for training intensity with real-time data.
For runners, live coaching features and the ability to create custom running plans are also available. Health tracking includes support for measurements such as ECG, blood oxygen level (SPO2), respiratory rate, and heart rate variability.
The Pixel Watch 4 marks a significant update to Google’s wearable device strategy. While the watch, as with previous models, utilizes Fitbit’s infrastructure, this time it makes more prominent use of Google’s own software integrations.
Pricing information for the Pixel Watch 4, whose launch date is approaching, hasn’t yet been released. The device is expected to launch alongside the Pixel 10 series and be priced similarly to previous models. With this model, Google aims to strengthen its position against rivals like the Apple Watch and Galaxy Watch.
