Sony continues to break records by bringing PlayStation exclusives to PC gamers. Having previously achieved great success with Helldivers 2 and God of War, the developer has now toppled the Steam charts with Ghost of Tsushima.
Ghost of Tsushima breaks records on Steam
PlayStation Studios made waves among PC gamers with the release of Ghost of Tsushima on Steam. The open-world action game launched on Steam on May 16th and the Director’s Cut version is currently on top.
Developed by Sucker Punch Productions, the game became the PlayStation title with the highest number of concurrent players ever. It topped Steam with 77,000 instant players.
The previous record for PlayStation Studios was set by God of War. Reaching 73,000 instant players, it beat games like Horizon Zero Dawn, Horizon Forbidden West and Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered. However, Ghost of Tsushima set a new peak.
In fact, Helldivers 2 holds the lead by far. The multiplayer-focused Helldivers 2 holds the overall record for a PlayStation game with 458,000 instant players. Ghost of Tsushima, on the other hand, takes the top spot among PlayStation Studios titles.
Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut includes all DLC released for both single-player and Legends multiplayer modes. The price in our country is set at 60 dollars.
