Sony Interactive Entertainment is preparing to hold a new State of Play event towards the end of September. Recent leaks from industry sources suggest that the event could take place around September 24th.
PlayStation State of Play could be held at the end of September
Sony is presenting new information and trailers for PlayStation games as part of its State of Play events. The last State of Play event was held in May and focused on games like Astro Bot, Marvel Rivals and Concord.
The recently unveiled PlayStation 5 Pro could be the main focus of Sony’s next State of Play event, despite criticism. The company may announce PS5 Pro-exclusive games, despite the backlash over its $700 price tag and separately sold accessories.
New images and gameplay videos of PS5/PS5 Pro games are expected to be shown at the event. Possible games could include a new DLC for Astro Bot and the long-awaited Metal Gear Solid remastered. GTA 6 is also rumored to be coming, although this is unlikely.
On the other hand, Sony is allegedly currently working on a new handheld console in partnership with AMD. This device could be the successor to the PlayStation Vita and could bring Sony back into the handheld console market. However, this console is still in the early design phase and no decision has been made to go into production yet.
PlayStation 5 Pro supported titles include Alan Wake 2, Assassin’s Creed: Shadows, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, Gran Turismo 7 and more.
