POCO, known for its budget-friendly smartphones, launched the POCO C61 model at an event held today. The new C61 aims to offer low-budget users a large battery and a remarkable camera experience.
What does the $90 POCO C61 promise?
The POCO C61 comes with a 6.71-inch LCD display with HD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. Powered by the MediaTek Helio G36 chipset, the smartphone features 6GB RAM and up to 128GB storage.
It will come out of the box with Android 14-based MIUI 13. On the camera side, the C61 has a triple rear camera setup with a 13 Megapixel main, 2 Megapixel macro and 2 Megapixel depth sensor. On the front, there is an 8 Megapixel selfie camera with a water drop notch.
The most striking point of the smartphone was its battery. It is powered by a 5000mAh battery that POCO claims will provide up to two days of use on a single charge. It also supports 10W charging via USB Type-C.
Additional features include a physical fingerprint sensor on the side, dual SIM, WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.3 and GNSS support. The C61 will be available in Mystic Green, Ethereal Blue and Diamond Black.
The C61 will be sold in India with the following price tags.
- 4GB + 64GB – 90 dollars
- 6GB + 128GB – 100 dollars
It is unclear when the smartphone will come to the global market.
