The legendary strategy game Age of Empires series is making its way to the console world. Xbox Game Studios and developers World’s Edge and Relic Entertainment have officially announced that Age of Empires IV: Anniversary Edition will be coming to PlayStation 5.
Age of Empires IV is officially coming to PS5
This title, which won the Best Simulation/Strategy Game of 2021 award, will be available for PS5 users on November 4, 2025. Age of Empires IV will be playable on PlayStation 5 with full controller support. The developers have specifically optimized the game for the console experience.
The game features easy-to-control automation options, tactical commands, and a radial UI system that allows for quick unit selection using the DualSense controller.
A new expansion pack is also coming to the game: Dynasties of the East. This DLC introduces players to four new civilizations: the Golden Horde (Mongol variant), the Macedonian Dynasty (Byzantine variant), the Sengoku Daimyo (Japanese variant), and the Tughluq Dynasty (Delhi Sultanate variant). Each civilization comes with its own unique units, technologies, and strategies. The DLC also includes six new biomes, from rainforests to coastlines.
Not only that, Age of Empires IV also gains a brand new game mode. This mode, Crucible, offers a single-player roguelike experience. In this mode, players face enemy attacks with randomized objectives and upgrades unlocked during the match.
Age of Empires IV: Anniversary Edition is available for pre-order on the PlayStation Store in Turkey. The game is priced at 1000 TL. The Premium edition, which includes the new Dynasties of the East DLC, is priced at 1800 TL.
