Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Edge, which was launched in May, is still available for purchase. The South Korean brand focused on a slim design concept for its new phone, while also offering flagship-level performance features. However, recent developments indicate that sales of the model have not gone as expected.
Samsung Reduces Production of Galaxy S25 Edge
The Galaxy S25 Edge, which was released last month, has reportedly underperformed in terms of sales. According to information shared by TheElec, the device stood out with its ultra-thin 5.8 mm design, yet Samsung has significantly reduced production volumes this month.

Sources note that new smartphones typically perform well during their first three months on the market, so this decline is not seen as a positive sign for the tech giant.
Samsung is reportedly planning to replace the Plus model with the Edge model in next year’s Galaxy S26 series. The reason behind this shift is that the Plus variant has traditionally been the weakest performer among the three Galaxy S models (standard, Plus, and Ultra). However, the weak sales of the Galaxy S25 Edge could pose a challenge to this strategy.
On another note, Samsung is also planning to ramp up production of foldable phones for the U.S. market this month beyond initial projections. This move is seen as preparation for the new customs tariffs set to take effect in the United States.
