Sony is rumored to be preparing to introduce a PlayStation 5 with advanced features in 2024. According to industry insiders, the tech giant has begun sharing concrete specifications about the “PS5 Pro” with several popular studios in recent weeks.

A medium-sized third-party developer reportedly received a presentation on the hardware details of the PS5 Pro. This presentation, provided by Sony, included the technical specifications of the new console. This suggests that Sony is starting to make introductions within the industry.

Leaks confirmed earlier reports that first and second-party PlayStation developers had access to PS5 Pro documentation. Information that surfaced in December claimed that PS5 Pro development kits had been sent to partners.

While the latest report does not confirm the development kits, it does suggest that Sony is laying the groundwork for the new console.

Analysts expect a launch for the PlayStation 5 Pro in 2024. It was stated that Sony has made progress depending on the release of large-scale games such as Grand Theft Auto 6. With potential partners lined up and early specs shared, the new console’s unveiling seems imminent.

Other industry insiders have also claimed that the new PS5 Pro will be official by the end of the summer. The internal codename of the console with more powerful features is “Trinity” and is targeted for release in November.
