A date has been given for Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, the processor that will power the flagship models of the coming period. Making a statement about the new chipset today, Qualcomm announced the launch date. The expected processor Snapdragon Gen 4 is coming in October.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor will be introduced on October 21!
Qualcomm, which left its mark on the market with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor last year, is ending work on the new model of the series. The date for the expected processor Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, which will power the most powerful smartphone models to be released this year, has arrived from the processor manufacturer. Announcing that it will hold an event called Snapdragon Summit between October 21 and October 23, Qualcomm will introduce the 4th Generation Snapdragon 8 chipset at that event.
The processor, which will be unveiled at the event to be held in Hawaii, was produced using TSMC’s 3 nm process. Snapdragon 8 G4, which was recently seen in Geekbench with its main core running at 4.2 GHz, completed the multi-core CPU performance test with 10,000 points. This showed that the S8G4 was at the same level as the Apple M3 in terms of performance.
Qualcomm, which aims to reduce the performance difference between Android and iOS to zero with this processor, will perhaps take the lead in places. Of course, on this side, it is also of great importance which devices the processor will power. The Snapdragon 8 G4 processor, which we will probably see in the Xiaomi 15 family first, will later power the flagship models of brands such as iQOO, vivo and OnePlus.
For now, it is not known when brands such as vivo or OnePlus will use Qualcomm’s most powerful processor. However, it seems certain that Xiaomi will act before anyone else in October. What do you think about Snapdragon 8 Gen 4? We welcome your ideas in the comments.
