Technical information continues to come after the official date for the Samsung Galaxy S23 series was revealed. According to an image published on Samsung’s official site, the first Unpacked event of 2023, where the Samsung Galaxy S23 series will be launched, will be held on February 1. The RAM and storage options of the Galaxy S23 series, as well as color options, have been leaked.
The Galaxy S23 Plus and Galaxy S23 Ultra will get a base storage upgrade
The flagship phones we will meet soon will have the following storage options and RAM capacities according to a solid leak:
- Samsung Galaxy S23: 8GB RAM/128GB storage, 8GB RAM/256GB storage
- Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus: 8GB RAM/256GB storage, 8GB RAM/512GB storage
- Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra: 8GB RAM/256GB storage, 12GB RAM/512GB storage, 12GB RAM/1TB storage (Samsung Store exclusive)
There are no big surprises here in general. Only in the Galaxy S23 Plus and Galaxy S23 Ultra, the increase in the basic storage capacity to 256 GB draws attention. Meanwhile, the official color options of the phones have also been revealed. According to rumors, the models will be launched in Botanic Green, Misty Lilac, Phantom Black and Cotton Flower color options. It is also claimed that some exclusive colors may be offered on Samsung Stores for the devices.
Last week, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, which will be the best of the Galaxy S23 series, was on the agenda. It was claimed that this model would have an OLED screen with 2,000 nits brightness. However, as reported, the Galaxy S23 Ultra will use an AMOLED screen with 1,750 nits brightness. Of course, 1,750 nits of brightness is not less, but it is disappointing that the company will not use the latest hardware in its current flagship.
In addition, it is also claimed that prices will increase slightly with the Galaxy S23 series. This is not certain, but rising costs may push the company to such a path. This price increase may also be limited to the South Korean market.
