Realme is preparing to expand its smartphone lineup with the Realme 16 series, which it plans to introduce in January 2026. As anticipation grows for the new models, leaks continue to reveal details about the devices.
Realme 16 Pro+ Appears
Recently, the Realme 16 Pro model was spotted on Geekbench with the Dimensity 7300 chip. Now, the higher-end model in the series, the Realme 16 Pro+, has appeared on the same performance platform, revealing information such as its chipset, RAM capacity, and operating system.
Reports indicate that the model number RMX5131 belongs to the Realme 16 Pro+, and this device appeared in the Geekbench test. Interestingly, the company has made an official statement regarding this model, claiming that the Snapdragon chip in the phone is more powerful than the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4.
The Geekbench entry for the Realme 16 Pro+ shows that the device runs on a Qualcomm chip. This chip features one main core running at 2.80 GHz, three cores running at 1.84 GHz, and four cores running at 2.80 GHz. Geekbench metadata also reveals that the chip has an Adreno 722 GPU.
Interestingly, these chip details perfectly match the specifications of the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor. This suggests that the chip in the Realme 16 Pro+ might be the same Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 with some adjustments or optimizations.
The records also reveal that the Realme 16 Pro+ has 12 GB of RAM and runs on Android 16. The company had previously confirmed that the device would use the Realme UI 7 user interface on top of the Android operating system. Realme also announced that Pro series phones will receive operating system updates for three years and security updates for four years.
Realme had already announced the 16 Pro series and its collaboration with renowned designer Naoto Fukasawa. The entire series is expected to be available in color options such as Master Gold, Master Grey, Camellia Pink, and Orchid Purple. Additionally, the brand will introduce the Realme Buds Air 8 wireless earbuds alongside the 16 Pro series. These earbuds will also come in Master Gold, Master Grey, and Master Purple.
