Realme, which closely follows current technology trends, attracted attention by officially announcing its new C85 series at an event in Vietnam. The company is making a strong entry into the affordable smartphone segment.
Realme C85 series announced
The flagship of the series, the Realme C85 Pro, features a 6.8-inch AMOLED Full HD+ (1080 x 2344 pixels) display. This panel promises incredibly vibrant colors and a smooth visual experience thanks to a 120Hz refresh rate and 4,000 nits of peak brightness. The other model, the C85 5G, also has a 6.8-inch display but uses an LCD panel with HD+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate.

The devices’ performance core is comprised of two different chipsets: the C85 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 chipset, while the C85 5G features the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset. Both devices offer 8GB of RAM as standard, and thanks to virtual RAM technology, this amount can be expanded to a total of 24GB. Users can also expand the storage up to 256GB with microSD card support.
The most striking feature of the Realme C85 series is undoubtedly its massive 7,000mAh battery. The company claims that this battery, which can be quickly charged with 45W fast charging, will provide users with up to two days of continuous use.
In terms of photography capabilities, both the C85 Pro and C85 5G are equipped with a 50MP main rear camera and an 8MP front camera. This camera system is supported by features such as AI-powered scene recognition, portrait mode, and the ability to take excellent photos even in low light.
Regarding connectivity options, the devices feature up-to-date features such as Wi-Fi 5 (Pro) or Wi-Fi 5.3 (5G), Bluetooth versions 5.0 or 5.3, GPS, NFC, dual SIM support, and a USB-C port. Furthermore, the IP69 Pro certification guarantees high-level dust and water resistance.
In terms of design and dimensions, the C85 Pro measures 164.4 x 77.99 x 8.09 mm and weighs 205 grams, while the C85 5G is slightly heavier and thicker at 8.38 mm thick and 215 grams.
The new Realme C85 series has launched in the Vietnamese market in two striking color options: Parrot Purple and Peacock Green. The Realme C85 Pro with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage costs approximately $245, while the 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage costs approximately $270. The other member of the series, the Realme C85 5G, with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, carries a price tag of approximately $290.
