Realme has officially launched its new flagship, the Realme GT8 Pro, bringing a fresh new dimension to smartphone design. The device is the brand’s first smartphone with an interchangeable camera bezel, allowing users to completely customize their phone’s appearance in just a few simple steps.
Design Revolution: Interchangeable Camera Bezels
The GT8 Pro’s most striking innovation is the interchangeable camera bezel, secured by two Torx screws on the sides. Magnets allow the module to instantly snap into place and are then securely secured with screws.

Realme announced that it will offer a variety of designs, including square, round, and robot-style, through its official stores. However, it has taken the innovation a step further, sharing a 3mf model file for users to create their own designs and hosting a competition for the most creative designs in partnership with MakerWorld.
The GT8 Pro doesn’t just focus on looks; it also features a capable triple-camera setup. This setup is headlined by a main camera designed by Ricoh, marking the beginning of the brand’s official collaboration with Ricoh.
The device is compatible with the Ricoh GR’s 28mm and 40mm full-frame equivalent focal lengths. It also gives users access to the Ricoh GR’s five iconic photographic tones: Positive, Negative, High Contrast Black and White, Standard, and Monochrome. In addition to the main sensor, the rear camera features a 65mm-equivalent 200MP periscope lens offering 3x optical zoom and up to 12x lossless zoom. This camera features a 1/1.56” ISOCELL HP5 sensor with an f/2.6 aperture and dual-axis OIS (optical image stabilization). The third camera is a 16mm-equivalent 50MP ultra-wide lens with an f/2.0 aperture and a 116-degree angle of view. Video recording can reach up to 8K resolution at 30 fps.
Beyond its camera capabilities, the rest of the GT8 Pro’s features set flagship standards. The flagship Snapdragon Elite Gen 5 Extreme Edition chipset is paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. Realme also includes its proprietary R1 graphics chip.
QHD+ (3,136×1,440 pixels) The AMOLED display, with a high resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, can reach up to 2,000 nits in typical conditions and an incredible 4,000 nits in local peak brightness areas.
The GT8 Pro boasts a combined 7,000 mAh battery split across two Si/C (silicon/carbon) cells. Wired charging reaches 120W, while wireless charging reaches 50W. Despite the larger battery, the device is 8.2 mm thin, compared to the GT7 Pro’s 8.55 mm. The new phone, with IP66, IP68, and IP69 ingress protection certifications, ships out of the box with Realme UI 7 based on Android 16.
