Nubia launches Red Magic 8 Pro and Pro+

Nubia finally launches the new gaming smartphones, Red Magic 8 Pro and Pro+. There were a lot of rumors about the devices before the launch event. Both devices come with the same chipset, cameras, footprint, and software. However, there are a few differentiations in terms of battery, charging, and price. Here are the details about the Red Magic 8 Pro and Pro+.

Red Magic 8 Pro and Pro+ comes with Qualcomm’s latest powerful chipset

At the event, Nubia announced that the new devices have Qualcomm’s latest chipset, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. In addition to this chipset, the phones have a Red Magic R2 chip for better gaming effects, such as improved sound details, colors, touch sensitivity, and haptic vibration feedback. Thanks to the gaming chipset, the phones have become good rivals in the gaming phone market.

One of the differentiations is their battery and charging capacity. While the Pro model comes with a 6,000mAh battery and 80W fast charging, the Pro+ model comes with a smaller 5,000mAh battery and 165W fast charging, which is the fastest among the Red Magic phones. The Pro model’s 80W charger can charge the phone from 0 to 100% in 35 minutes.

On the display side, the devices have a 6.8-inch AMOLED with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate screen. The brand uses the ICE 11.0 set of cooling features, including multiple layers of graphite sheets, and a 3D vapor chamber with 2,068 cu.mm. volume for a better cooling system in the gaming phone.

Nubia’s Red Magic 8 Pro gaming phone is now available for pre-order and starting from CNY3,999. While it has only a black color option, for now, it comes in 8/12GB, 8/256GB, and 12/256GB RAM and storage options. The 8 Pro+ also has 12/256GB, 16/512GB, and 16/1TB RAM and storage options. Its prices begin at CNY5,199 for the black version. The phones are available on the official online store.
