Today, Xiaomi quietly unveiled two new affordable phones for its sub-branded, Redmi. Redmi A2 and Redmi A2+ are new budget smartphones
While there are no details about the pricing of new budget smartphones, we know that they will be cheap thanks to their specifications. The A2 and A2+ will launch in European markets for now with light blue, light green, and black color options. Additionally, both smartphones run Android 12 Go Edition, which is designed for low-end devices.
The A2 and A2+ are powered by the 12nm MediaTek Helio G36 SoC with 8x 2.2GHz ARM Cortex-A53 cores and IMG PowerVR GE820 GPU. Additionally, both devices come with 2GB and 3GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and 32GB of eMMC 5.1 storage options. Besides, the device has a microSD port for expandable storage.
Both devices have a 6.52-inch display with 720×1600 resolution. In terms of camera, they feature an 8-megapixel main camera with a QVGA auxiliary lens on the back, and they have a 5-megapixel selfie camera on the front. The A2 and A2+ come with a 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging support.
While both phones are mostly the same devices, the A2+ has a difference. The A2+ has a fingerprint sensor on the rear. There are no details about whether or when the devices will be available in India.
