Xiaomi’s Redmi K Pad, which debuted in late June, is reportedly gearing up for a global launch. The tablet, known for its standout features like a 7,500 mAh battery, is expected to be released outside of China under a different name.
Redmi K Pad may come to the global market under the name Xiaomi Pad Mini
According to a recent report shared on Weibo, the Redmi K Pad will be rebranded as the Xiaomi Pad Mini for international markets. Rebranding is a common practice among Chinese tech companies, and if the leak is accurate, the two tablets will offer nearly identical specifications despite having different names and potentially distinct designs.

The Redmi K Pad (Xiaomi Pad Mini) features an 8.8-inch LCD display with a 3K resolution and a smooth 165Hz refresh rate. It’s powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chipset and offers up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X/T RAM and 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage.
The device is fueled by a 7,500 mAh battery with support for 67W wired fast charging. On the camera front, it includes a 13 MP rear camera with LED flash and an 8 MP front-facing camera. Additional highlights include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, dual USB-C ports, and the latest HyperOS 2 based on Android 15.
There’s no official word yet on the global release date for the Xiaomi Pad Mini. However, the tablet has already received TDRA and IMDA certifications, indicating that its international launch may be just around the corner.
