Following its appearance on China’s radio certification platform database, the countdown to the Redmi Turbo 5’s release has begun. The latest information from reliable leakster Digital Chat Station (DCS) has revealed some of the device’s key specifications, suggesting it will be a strong contender in the mid-to-high-end segment.
9,000 mAh Power and Ultrasonic Fingerprint Sensor on the Way!
One of the Redmi Turbo 5’s most notable features is its significant security upgrade over its predecessor. According to the leak, the device will feature a flat OLED panel with rounded corners and support 1.5K resolution.

The most notable improvement is the fingerprint sensor. While the Redmi Turbo 4 uses an optical under-display sensor, the Turbo 5 will feature an ultrasonic under-display fingerprint sensor. This is a significant innovation that will provide a faster and more reliable biometric authentication experience.
While the tipster didn’t specify the device’s chipset, he revealed that the Turbo 5 will come with a massive battery capacity: a 9,000 mAh silicon battery. This capacity is rare among smartphones. This beastly battery will reportedly be accompanied by 100W fast charging technology for rapid recharging.
In terms of design, the Redmi Turbo 5 is expected to maintain a similarly simple style to its predecessor. The leak also indicates that the device will offer full waterproofing, which could indicate a high-level durability certification such as IP68/69.
There’s no official announcement yet about the chip powering the Redmi Turbo 5. However, market speculation suggests that the device may be powered by the Dimensity 8500 Ultra chipset, which is thought to be first seen in the Reno 15 Pro, expected to be unveiled in November.
Digital Chat Station reported that the Redmi Turbo 5 will be unveiled in China in the first quarter of 2026 (Q1 2026). There are also expectations for a global release. The Redmi Turbo 5 is expected to be rebranded as the Poco X8 Pro globally, around the same time as the China launch.
