Redmi, the ambitious mid-range player, has been flooded with leaks regarding its highly anticipated new model, the Turbo 5. The latest details shared by reliable source Digital Chat Station indicate that the device will feature significant improvements in design and battery features.
Massive 7,500 mAh Battery and Early Release Date
According to leaks, Redmi has placed significant emphasis on the overall design and build quality of the Turbo 5. The phone is expected to make a significant leap forward in material quality and craftsmanship. The device will feature a 6.5-inch flat LTPS display with a 1.5K resolution.

Equipped with a premium-looking metal mid-frame, the phone will be IP68 certified, providing full protection against water and dust. The new model is also reported to feature an in-display optical fingerprint sensor, a more modern and faster solution. The most striking aspects of the Redmi Turbo 5 are its impressive improvements in performance and battery life.
Previous reports indicated that Redmi would use the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra chipset in this model. This powerful chip is also expected to be featured in other mid-range/high-end devices like the Oppo Reno 15 Pro, Honor Power 2, and Realme Neo 8.
Contrary to previous claims of a 9,000mAh+ battery, the latest leak confirms that the device will have a massive 7,500mAh battery capacity. This large battery also comes with 100W fast charging support for uninterrupted power.
Redmi is accelerating its launch schedule to stay ahead of the competition in the mid-range segment. Previously rumored as Q1 2026, the launch date is now expected to be November 2025. This means Redmi will launch its next-generation performance phone much earlier than expected.
The more powerful Turbo 5 Pro model is expected to arrive in the first half of 2026. Similar to Redmi’s previous strategies, the Redmi Turbo 5 is expected to launch globally under the Poco X8 Pro name. The fact that the Poco X8 Pro has been spotted on European certification lists further strengthens this possibility.
