Xiaomi has officially announced its new budget-friendly smartwatch, the Redmi Watch 6, in China. The device boasts notable features such as a 2.07-inch AMOLED display, a long battery life of up to 24 days, and integration with the HyperOS 3.0 operating system. The model is expected to reach the global market and Turkey in the coming weeks.
Redmi Watch 6 unveiled
The Redmi Watch 6 features a 2.07-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 432×514 pixels. It offers a 60Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 2000 nits. Thanks to the ultra-thin 2mm bezels, an 82% screen-to-body ratio is achieved. Protected by 2.5D curved glass, the display also supports full-color Always-On Display (AOD) running at 5Hz.
Design-wise, the watch weighs just 31 grams without a strap and measures 46.45 × 40.03 × 9.94 mm. It features a dual-button layout consisting of a high-strength aluminum alloy bezel, a repositioned stainless steel crown, and an additional side button. Users can choose from quick-release interchangeable straps in silicone and vegan leather.
The watch runs the HyperOS 3 operating system, providing seamless connectivity with phones, smart home devices, and even vehicles. This integration allows users to control home appliances, unlock supported cars, and receive interactive notifications. Android users also receive the ability to reply to WeChat messages directly from the watch and support the Xiao Ai voice assistant.
Powered by a 550mAh battery, the Redmi Watch 6 provides up to 24 days of battery life in basic mode, up to 12 days in typical usage scenarios, and up to 7 days with AOD enabled. Supporting magnetic charging, the watch also features a linear vibration motor with over 20 vibration styles.
On the health and fitness tracking front, comprehensive features include 24-hour heart rate monitoring, all-day SpO₂ monitoring, sleep tracking, stress detection, and women’s health management. The device is water-resistant to 5ATM, making it suitable for swimming and shallow water activities.
The model supports independent dual L1 GNSS positioning and comes with over 150 sport modes. It also includes standard smartwatch functions such as Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, music playback, voice recording, a compass, and remote camera control. The Redmi Watch 6’s Chinese price has been announced as 599 yuan, or approximately $84.
